The Wildflower Collection happened by accident.
I started as I usually do, by just experimenting with resin, which, by the way, has a huge learning curve.
One day I was messing around outside on a beautiful day when I noticed that there were a lot of beautiful wildflowers coming up everywhere. It was right at the beginning of Spring and I was excited about the flowers. I picked some and then tried to figure out how I was going to use them.
I dried them out and figured I would try to put them in resin for jewelry. By this time, I had collected lavender, rose petals, dandelions, some little yellow wildflowers, and purple wildflowers.
As you probably know by this point, I was super happy with the way the turned out. I love these earrings and hope you guys love them just as much.
I have put my love and extra care into every piece of jewelry I've put up for sale. Trust me, there is much more that I haven't or won't sell because I am not happy with the result. I'm kind of a perfectionist and my worst critic. For a very long time, I thought all my work looked like something done by a kindergartener. Of course; no one I asked agreed with me, but they would not have any way for fear of being mean. It's hard to find someone willing to be brutally honest if they think it will hurt your feelings.
Sorry for going on a tangent, but I wanted to give a little backstory and will probably continue to blog about these things if people are interested.
